NordCoin Mining, an Estonian company with experience in the crypto-mining industry since 2012 and founded by blockchain veterans and fintech entrepreneurs, is now ready to scale across the Nordics, thanks to the revolutionary Mobile Mining Container (MMC) technology.

The MMC technology, developed by NordCoin Mining itself, allows units to be self-contained and remote-controlled and, most importantly, to overcome the three main problems affecting crypto-mining: effective hash rate, cost of energy, and cost of space. NordCoin’s 40ft freight containers can be transported everywhere, just like any other freight container, to take advantage of good mining conditions, such as low-cost or surplus energy, as well as of the close proximity to power plants. The shipping container is modified to include modular racks for housing and powering crypto-mining units (ASICS or GPUs).
The prototype Mobile Mining Container (MMC-1) was manufactured in 2017 and delivered a hash rate of approximately 53 GH/s (Scrypt). MMC-1 consists of a mixture of ASIC miners that the team’s previous experiments had found to be most profitable, and is situated within the perimeter of Viru Keemia Grupp (VKG), an Estonian power producer.
So far, NordCoin Mining has successfully fabricated four MMCs (MMC-1 in November 2017, MMC-2 in March 2018, MMC-3 in April 2018 and MMC-4 in June 2018) and these four containers are standing and mining at full speed.
